This course is intended for Year 6 teachers who are new to administering or coordinating end of Key Stage 2 assessments. Some more experienced teachers may also feel that it is important to update their knowledge and understanding.

Due to the popularity of the ‘Teachers new to Y6’ assessment courses, this is for experienced Year 6 teachers to have the opportunity to clarify the requirements of the end of KS2 tests and teacher assessments.
This is a termly opportunity for Mathematics Subject Leaders to update their knowledge of the hot topics in mathematics in the primary phase. The half day sessions also provide the opportunity to network with other subject leaders and exchange ideas and suggestions about the learning and teaching of maths in the primary phase.
The Safer Recruitment course covers the key requirements of the Statutory Guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education focusing particularly on:
• Identifying abuse and recognising offender behaviour
• Safer recruitment practices
• Creating a safe environment and culture
