Essential Training for New Finance Staff – Part 1

Event Summary Finance Officers in a school/academy need a diverse range of financial knowledge,including internal controls, financial administration and reporting requirements. This series of modules provides the information needed to understand School/Academy finance and administration.
Event description
The first of 6 modules in the full course, Part 1 will cover roles and responsibilities of finance staff and governors/trustees; how schools are funded and the income timetable; understanding the financial framework.. There will be opportunities throughout the session for delegates to ask questions.
 
The finish time is approximate depending on the amount of questions.
There will be a 10 minute comfort break half-way through the session..

Learning outcomes Delegates will;
• gain an understanding of their roles &responsibilities, as well as those of the SLT & Governors/Trustees
• gain confidence in understanding of school funding, calculations & timetable of payments
