Essential Training for New Finance Staff – Part 3

Event Summary Finance Officers in a school/academy need a diverse range of financial knowledge,including internal controls, financial administration and reporting requirements. This part is the first of two parts on the monthly reporting requirements needed to effectively provide the Head teachers and Governors with the details of the current financial position.
Event description This is the third module of six for the full course. Part 3 will cover monthly financial reporting, reconciliation of funding to the budget and variances, bank reconciliations and cashflows projections, tools for which will be demonstrated. There will be opportunities throughout the session for delegates to ask questions.

Learning outcomes Delegates will;
• gain an understanding & confidence in providing the current financial position and any variances to the budget via reporting to the Head, SLT & Governors/Trustees
• gain confidence in understanding & reporting on the cashflow forecasts
