Event Summary Finance Officers in a school/academy need a diverse range of financial knowledge,including internal controls, financial administration and reporting requirements. This module provides the information needed to understand School/Academy finance and administration.
Event description The first of 3 modules in the full course, each module is one day. Module 1 will cover financial regulations, internal controls, funding and reporting requirements. The presentation will include working demonstrations, to enable a better understanding. There will be opportunities throughout the day for delegates to ask questions.

 This course will be conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams as a morning and afternoon session as there will be a break for lunch.
 
Learning outcomes Delegates will;
• gain an understanding of their roles &responsibilities, as well as those of the SLT & Governors/Trustees
• gain confidence in understanding of school funding, calculations & timetable of payments
• gain knowledge and importance of financial frameworks, regulations and internal controls
