Event description | This workshop will update delegates allow discussion and provide examples and resources for several key areas, including: • Understanding subject access requests (SARs) • Understanding the psychology of a SAR • The SAR key updates • Understanding the SAR exemptions • Refusing a request • Effectively managing a SAR • Fulfilling a request |

Additional information | All delegates will receive a full copy of the slide deck and presenter notes following the session. The session will be delivered remotely using Zoom. A link to the meeting will be sent out in advance. Displayed fees are subject to VAT. This training is delivered by Darren Rose from DHR Consultancy. |

Learning outcomes | Participants will; • gain an understanding of the right of access, recent updates to the Information Commissioners Guidance, manifestly and unfounded exemptions, as well as other exemptions included in the Data Protection Act 2018. • obtain understanding and resources to manage a subject access request using control documents, create the best team to help identify exemptions and assist in compiling the request, and available tools to search and redact the personal data before disclosure. |
