Managing Flexible Working Requests

Event Summary Embracing flexible working has many benefits including better staff retention, recruitment and equality in your school workforce.

This training session will provide an overview of the process involved in managing a request and the key factors to take into account when considering whether to approve requests. This course is an excellent session for newly promoted school leaders with limited experience in this important area. It is also helpful for Governors responsible for hearing appeals concerning flexible working requests.
Event description
A two-hour session focusing on:
 
  • The benefits of flexible working;
  • The flexible working procedure;
  • Considering and accommodating requests; and
  • Practical implications on approving requests, including contract amendments.
 
This course will be presented by HR professionals from the Education HR team.

Learning outcomes
At the end of the session delegates will;
 
  • Understand the process of considering a flexible working request;
