Event description | School leaders have been at the forefront of risk assessments since the COVID pandemic with new risk management plans to document and review on a frequent basis. Risk assessments should help make schools safer but they can sometimes become a 'tick-box exercise' with content copied and pasted from elsewhere. This session has been tailored for school leaders without formal H&S training. It will demonstrate how the words written in a school's risk assessments can, especially after a serious incident, be of vital significance. Delivered by a risk management expert in school H&S, site security and educational visits, this interactive session will help you answer the following questions with reference to real school case studies and incidents throughout:
