Event Summary | This course is for English subject leaders, providing them with an opportunity to reflect on their role both during and after the Covid 19 lockdown. | ||||||
Event description | What is your role as English subject leader when the majority of pupils and teachers are not in school? What should your priorities be when schools re-open. These questions form the basis of this training session emphasising the fact that, despite the lockdown, subject leaders still have a very important role to play. This could include supporting teachers who are struggling to plan for home learning, suggesting high quality resources and considering how pupil progress can still be tracked. The session will also provide subject leaders with the opportunity to consider their priorities when schools are fully re-opened. This will include a look at the evidence on accelerated learning, support for those who are falling behind and identifying future areas for development. During the session there will be regular opportunities for participants to ask questions and to share their concerns and ideas, providing a valuable networking opportunity for all involved. |
