Event description These bite-size overview courses are ideal for new governors or those wishing to refresh or update their knowledge.

These interactive courses will offer plenty of opportunity for you to ask all those questions about effective governance you have been wanting to ask.

Completing all 6 KRG Modules will give a really good overview of the roles and responsibilities of governors, increasing your confidence and helping you to add value to the work of your governing body.
If you complete Induction and all six courses you will be awarded a Certificate of School Governance Studies which recognises your contribution and commitment.

If you are undertaking the Certificate of School Governance Studies, please remember to have your Attendance Log signed by the tutor at the end of the course.

Learning outcomes
At the end of the session delegates will be able to: 
 
• to recognise what is meant by emotional/mental health and wellbeing and the school's role in supporting it
• to look at the new Ofsted focus on behaviour and attitudes
• to recognise the importance of good SMSC provision in the school
• to consider how governors can monitor the impact of their school's actions in these areas
