After this session you will be able to:

  • understand what is meant by safeguarding and the categories of child abuse
  • recognise the role of the school and the governing body in safeguarding
  • understand the role of the nominated governor and chair of governors
  • access guidance and up to date information about safeguarding


Once you have completed all six KRG Modules courses you will be awarded a Certificate of School Governance Studies which recognises your contribution and commitment.
Additional information
If you become the nominated governor with responsibility for safeguarding you should also attend the Safeguarding Children course.
