| Event description | Excluding a pupil involves a statutory process that governors should ensure they perform legally and effectively. Appeals have been lost because the panel has not attended recent training. | ||||||
| Additional information | From September 2017 Governor Training sessions (including Governing Body Development Sessions) will be paperless! Therefore, digital resources will be provided giving you the flexibility to bring them along in a format to suit your learning. Displayed fees are subject to VAT |

| Learning outcomes | The course offers a mixture of theory and practical advice. At the end of the session delegates will: • have an overview of the statutory guidance on the use of fixed period and permanent exclusion • be able to form a discipline committee to consider parental representations |
